About Mark Katzman
Mark Katzman tells stories that twist, spark, and refuse to sit still.
He’s an American author whose work lives somewhere between literature, performance, and a fever dream. His novel M7 is just one example—a wild, mind-bending journey through a surreal library filled with mystery, satire, and unexpected truths.
Mark writes more than novels. His creative world includes artist books, plays, screenplays, interviews, and music. For years, he served as former Music Editor for Mondo 2000, a legendary cyberculture magazine. He also co-founded athensuncharted.com, a digital zine that celebrates the strange and the brilliant in his hometown of Athens, Georgia.
When he’s not writing or composing, Mark is collaborating with other creatives, curating words and images, and always chasing new ways to challenge what a story can be.
“I like stories that make you pause. That make you tilt your head. That let language do something weird and sacred. If it doesn’t bend a little, it’s probably not alive.”
